LAZY BEAVER 7.2 TONS LONG KEEL

Designed by Carl Alberg – built CAPE DORY Yachts 1974 especially for short handed long distance sailing – the perfect family yacht for cruising the west coast of Scotland, very stable and stiff under sail. Complete with self tacking jib, Haslar and electronic self steering – Carries 25 gallons of diesel in port and starboard tanks, enough for over 60 hours continuous running – two 140 amp batteries – marine alternator charging - wind, depth, speed and VHF electronics. One electric and two hand bilge pumps, one operated from within cabin. NO gas to blow you away only safe Paraffin cooking.

Reconditioned and rebuilt engine, 2006. (Nil running hours to date).

Self tacking jib, two main sails, Genoa, spinnaker and all spinnaker gear – complete set of heavy storm sails – Anchor, chain and woven nylon anchor chain, masses of cordage, warps and fenders. All fittings, mast rigging etc. are heavy duty and selected from Schaefer Marine, the finest available.

Four berths, including pilot berth in main cabin – ice box and masses of storage and hanging space, separate toilet and wash-hand basin with piped water.

Lazy Beaver has one circumnavigation and two Atlantic crossings under her belt.
